The Prince Philip Trust Fund launches new web site for applications

The Prince Philip Trust Fund is one of the Royal Borough of Maidenhead and Windsor’s best kept secrets and one of ours too – until now that is! Established in 1977 as a grant giving trust, there is a particular focus towards disability, health, the elderly, families, children and young people, those in social need and the arts.

So far the trust has distributed over £2m to 1600 beneficiaries and has an annual distribution of £50k-100k and is growing.

Wilson Partners is delighted to support this great cause, with Director, Ross Wilson having been involved in one capacity or another, including as current Trustee and Treasurer, since the charity was launched. Ross led the team which delivered the new web site.

Says Ross “The Charity has been chaired since its launch in 1977 by HRH Prince Philip and during that time has grown to become a very important source of funds for many worthy local causes. When HRH Prince Philip became our Patron, HRH Prince Edward took on the Chairmanship and with his fellow Trustees is keen to increase the Charity’s profile locally and let those who may need our support and who may qualify for our support know we’re here and that we are able to provide an easy, online application process

The late Sir Christopher Aston formerly Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead founded the grant-giving trust in 1977 to thank His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh for his service to the community during the first 25 years of the Queen’s reign.

The Trust raises funds through events such as the Windsor Half Marathon, and a Jaguar enthusiast’s Club. With funds being distributed to great causes such as providing Selena Campobello’s family with a grant of £5,000 towards the purchase a Tobii eye gaze computer or helping to support the development of The Autism Group’s development of their new social club.

Wilson Partners are proud of our long association with this great charity.

If you are aware of any charities, or individuals in the Royal Borough of Maidenhead, who meet The Prince Philip Trust Funds funding criteria, then please share the web site link with them.
