Wilson Partners joins forces with Maidenhead United FC in the Campaign Against Living Miserably
Wilson Partners is really excited to have extended our partnership with Maidenhead United Football Club. We’re part of an exciting and innovative initiative that sees Wilson Partners and 10 other Maidenhead businesses come together to fund front of shirt sponsorship for suicide awareness and prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
This initiative will see the charity featured not just on the men’s first team kit but also on every team representing Maidenhead United, including the Women’s, Academy, U16, Futsal, Walking Football, and all levels of youth football, creating a strong identity across the club.
In addition to the logo appearing on all of the shirts, the club, Wilson Partners and the other CALM partners will work closely with CALM throughout the season to activate campaigns in support of their work in taking a stand against suicide.
We’re really excited to be part of this ground-breaking initiative that gives CALM much needed exposure both in our local community and on a wider scale. The aim, ultimately is to prevent people from suffering in silence and help many people and their families get the help they need, when they need it. And at a time when external pressures are having an impact on our community and society as a whole.
Allan Wilson, Managing Director, Wilson Partners Ltd.
We’re absolutely delighted that Maidenhead United FC has chosen to partner with CALM for the coming season and would like to thank the club and the local businesses who are funding our shirt sponsorship for making this a reality.
Simon Gunning, Chief Executive Officer at CALM
As well as supporting CALM, we continue to support ‘Magpies in the Community’ providing opportunities for local people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to take part in activities which improve their health and wellbeing.
About CALM
CALM stands together with everyone who is struggling with life, no matter who they are, where they are from or what they are going through. They do it through their life-saving services, national campaigns, and by building communities. Anyone can feel suicidal. So CALM is there for everyone. From advice on their website about issues people might be facing; through to free, confidential chats with their helpline staff, online or on the phone – they are here for anyone who’s struggling, every single day of the year. No matter what.
Their helpline and webchat are open 365 days a year, offering practical suggestions for all of life’s problems – whether that’s anxiety, relationship concerns, health worries, money worries or suicidal thoughts. Their staff answer a call every 59 seconds – they listen, talk, and help people struggling with life to make a plan so they can begin to look to the future.
