Share options schemes
Are you looking for ways to retain and motivate staff?
For many business owners, people are their most precious asset. Employee share schemes offering long-term tax-efficient incentives are an excellent way to motivate your people and recognise and reward their loyalty and contribution to your business success.
You may wish to consider offering a share option scheme to your employees which can be an effective way to provide equity. Some types of schemes may also be used for non-executive directors and consultants.
There is a range of incentive schemes available, the most common being:
- Enterprise Management Incentive (EMI)
- Company Share Option Plan (CSOP)
- Executive Share Option Plan (ESOP)
Wilson Partners can assist you through the process of planning, share option scheme selection and implementation. Following this, we can assist you with the ongoing maintenance and administration of the scheme, along with the required submissions to HMRC by certain deadlines.
SEIS / EIS
SEIS (Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme) and EIS (Enterprise Investment Scheme) are schemes designed to help small, early-stage companies raise equity finance, by offering a range of tax reliefs to individual investors purchasing new shares in those companies. We advise both companies and individuals on these schemes and guide them through the complex legislation and conditions. Click here to access our free tax guides.
